Meet Jeremiah Jaftha. He is 42 years old. Jeremiah is married, has four kids and they live in Delft, Cape Town, South Africa. If you want to know who the biggest Manchester United fan is in Cape Town, we can surely say that Jeremiah is. He had multiple shirts, jerseys, caps, posters and flags. He also always has a smile on his face.

History at Ullman

Along with being passionate about soccer, Jeremiah also loves his work. He is a team leader in the Finishing Department at Ullman Sails Cape Town. You know that beautiful Ullman Sail that is on your boat? You can be assured that Jeremiah had his hands on it while it was in the Finishing Department. He is a very valuable member of the Ullman team. Jeremiah is a master craftsman and very hard working and has many years of experience in the sailmaking industry.

He started in the sailmaking industry when he was very young. He worked for Jan Reuvers when they were still located in Paarden Eiland, after a couple of years he left Jan’s business but was asked to come back when they relocated to Maitland. When the manager of the Finishing Department isn’t there, like on weekends, he takes charge and gets the work done. When they need to work after hours to finish a whole shipment, Jeremiah is the first to volunteer. Jeremiah is a perfectionist when it comes to his work, he wants everything on the sail to be perfect for the customer. If someone needs help, he is always willing to help.

On the 2nd February 2019 tragedy struck Jeremiah and his family, their house burned down, and they lost all their belongings. They are devastated and in need of our help. Ullman Sails South Africa, Ullman Sails International and the other Ullman lofts around the world have all been donating money, furniture and clothing to Jeremiah and his family. We want to ask anyone if you would like to donate any money to Jeremiah and his family to help them out. It would be greatly appreciated.
