Two cousins, imaginative and adventurous friends since childhood, and a happenchance cameraman of equal ‘insanity’ have already been on a quest to find the last dinosaur in a documentary called ‘Hitched’. Picture an ancient map in hand and Robin Williams springing back from the grave in a wild Hollywood Disney movie. But alas, no map, no Pixar animation, no transport and not much money… these guys are the real deal. Bring on Crocodile Dundee. The documentary ‘Hitched’ has drawn much attention and is available to stream on thefools.tv – a fairly apt name.
Sailing from Africa to Brazil
Luke ‘Mcflurry’ (filmmaker), Jordan (Environmental Science student) and cameraman Don(ald) are on a new mission this time – to hitch a ride from Angola to Brazil and then on to the States to meet Ellen Degeneres… on anything that floats (inflatable flotation dinosaurs not excluded). However, we know Ullman sailors would never hear of such a thing and we are sure you will be more than happy (or crazy enough) to offer these three gentlemen of obscure, but talented and brave descent, a ride on one of your superyachts, complete with bikini-clad waitresses … ok, maybe just a battered-old cruiser then 😊
The men behind the ‘fools’ adventures
On a more serious note – Luke, Jordan and Donald are not just doing this for a laugh – they have a purpose in mind: “This whole thing is more than just filmmaking. We’re here to share stories, and within that learning and finding a better way of living. We’re passionate about travel and the way it challenges and changes you, the different ways of life you encounter along the road are the rewards of travel; and whilst it is through our experience of things – which comes with a large set of limitations – we hope that there’s room for you to see past that and into different places, spaces and cultures,” says Luke, Donald and Jordan.
Ullman Sails call to action
Ullman Sails would love you to reach out to these intrepid travellers and lend them a halyard. Matthew Wagner, the new Engineer in our FiberPath Department at Ullman Sails South Africa, that you met in one of our recent blogs, is a long-standing friend of the intrepid trio. Luke, Donald and Jordan do have some sailing experience and are willing to take on anything, and do anything from scrubbing decks to serving dinner. If you or your mates would like to be involved in this unique documentary then please email Lukeinthe031@gmail.com or matthew@ullmansails.com. If not, then please share this post so that other fools may rush in where angels fear to tread…
Here they are drinking tea in preparation for their very treacherous trip…
